We are approaching our 3rd weigh in of Biggest Loser, and also the first day of February. Can you even believe it?!
I started to get really down on my self this past week cause I was slacking on my workouts (aside from zumba!, I took my week 4 running recovery/rest week alittle too literal and RESTED all week... ugh!). My eating has been OK, but I have not been tracking as I promised myself I would do. The time is flying and we all know the next 10 weeks will be over before we know it... I REALLY want some thing to show for it.
I read this somewhere online this morning... and boy did I need this reminder!
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, I am making lifestyle changes... not just "dieting" for the sake of losing some pounds over the course of a couple weeks. So what if I slacked off in January?! It is one month out of twelve. I still have 11 more months left in the year to make healthy decisions, and move my body.
We all need a good reason to "check in" with ourselves throughout our journey to health - why not use the first of the month to do that.
A few housekeeping items:
*We are going to Yoga Tuesday nights at Nishkama Yoga in Independence (on 82) - Yoga Basics Class - from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. It is $15.00 per class (multiple class passes are available.) They also offer yoga mats to rent for the class for $1 or $2. If you decide to join us, get there early (atleast by 7:15 to sign in and get a spot. Also, reminder, no shoes in the studio, and bring water and a towel).
*Zumba is still happening at St. John's every Wednesday from 7:00pm - 8:00pm. It is great fun and as always, the more the merrier! It is pay as you go $5.00 per class. Your fifth class is FREE!
